Fearful Flying

Regarding “The Economy Class Squeeze” (The Healthy Traveler, Nov. 9): Anyone with even the slightest paranoiac tendency would never fly economy class again after reading Kathleen Doheny’s summary of the dangers awaiting them.
In perhaps 700 or 800 words, three “experts” conjure up some of the most dreadful potential effects of flying in coach class. Only at the very end does she quote one of her “experts” as saying: Of course, the chances of all that coming to pass are small.
What in the world was the point in all that scaremongering?
