Parent Help USA’s Wish List: ‘Everything’

Parent Help USA, a nonprofit agency that conducts parenting courses and operates a food bank, needs donations of food, shoes, toys and clothes for needy families for Christmas.
“We need everything,” said founder Sally Nava Kanarek.
The agency also needs volunteers to answer phones and to act as “secret angels,” delivering care packages to families.
The agency hopes it also will get a secret angel this year. It needs counselors and volunteers to fill several vacancies on its board.
And, without some large cash donations, it may have to close one of the two centers it operates in Orange County, Kanarek said.
