A Homecoming for Pimm

Tuesday night’s game between USC and Santa Barbara was their first meeting since the 1968-69 season and it marked a homecoming for Gaucho Coach Jerry Pimm. A standout USC player from 1958 to 1960, Pimm said he was also the first coach to take a Trojan team into the Sports Arena.

“I was the freshmen coach for the Trojans in 1960,” Pimm, 59, said. “We only had one scholarship player at that time but we were thrilled to be playing here.”
