Holiday Closings

Today is Christmas Day. All city, county, state and federal offices will be closed along with libraries and banks. Other closures include:
Schools: There will be no classes at public elementary or secondary schools through Jan. 4
Mail: There will be no regular mail delivery today. All post offices will be closed, and mail depoisted in mailboxes will be picked up according to the posted holiday schedule.
Trash: There will be no trash pickup by city or county refuse workers. Regular Thursday trash collection for Los Angeles city residents will be postponed until Friday.
Transportation: MTA buses wil run on holiday schedules. Metrolink trains are not running.
