Man Dies After Being Shot on Street

PACOIMA — A Van Nuys man, found shot near a pay phone in Pacoima on Tuesday afternoon, later died at a nearby hospital, police said.
George Robledo, 26, was found in the 9800 block of San Fernando Road shortly after 4 p.m. by police responding to a report of gunfire, Los Angles Police Sgt. William McGarity said. Robledo was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he died.
Witnesses said Robledo had been standing on a nearby street corner when a man approached and shot him, McGarity said. The motive for the shooting was unclear, and no arrests had been made as of late Tuesday.
