Bishop Back With Oilers

Blaine Bishop, the Tennessee Oilers’ franchise player and two-time Pro Bowl selection, returned to the team with a six-year contract.

Bishop, the Oilers’ strong safety and leading tackler the past two seasons, held out of training camp and the first week of practice.

The San Diego Chargers have about a 50-50 chance of getting star linebacker Junior Seau back for Sunday’s game at New England after Seau practiced for the first time since undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Aug. 4.

The Denver Broncos completed their starting lineup by naming Darrien Gordon their right cornerback and Jamie Brown their offensive right tackle. . . .
