Hamid Sedehi has resigned as the girls’ soccer coach at Capistrano Valley, Athletic Director Tom White said.
White said Sedehi wanted to concentrate his efforts on the Irvine Strikers club soccer team he coaches.
To replace Sedehi, White hired former Trabuco Hills Coach Jack Peterson.
Sedehi coached the last two seasons at Capistrano Valley, compiling a 40-6-6 record. Last season the Cougars were 19-3-3, won the South Coast League and spent most of the season ranked as the county’s No. 1 team. They reached the Division I quarterfinals, losing to Edison, 2-0.
