Bill Plaschke’s column on Ross Porter [Aug. 17] really told it like it is. Some day, Ross is going to give the shoe size of every fan in Row 27, the address of the high school of every person in the stadium from the state of Oregon, and, while people are waiting to leave the stadium, Ross will give the last four numbers of every license plate from Arizona . . . all while giving the batting average of every utility player on the Baltimore Orioles.
