Opportunities for Volunteering

Tender Loving Care Home Hospice, an organization that cares for terminally ill patients, is looking for volunteers throughout the San Fernando and Conejo valleys to give assistance and comfort through visits, letter writing, reading, shopping and pet and plant care. The National Council of Jewish Women/Los Angeles is seeking volunteers for its programs, Women Helping Women Services and Women Helping Children.

Volunteer counselors will provide support for families in crisis. Volunteer tutors and art educators will assist high-risk children, homeless children and teen mothers. Volunteers will receive training in counseling and tutoring. Women of all ages and backgrounds, especially those who are bilingual, are encouraged to apply.
