Visa Rules

As an American of Czech ancestry, I am outraged at the U.S. Embassy’s treatment of Europeans seeking visas (“NATO Invitees Upset Over U.S. Visa Rules,” Aug. 11).
How dare U.S. officials say, “Tough visa requirements are not new for Central Europeans--they have a well-documented habit of overstaying visits.” All one has to do is study the statistics of the largest group that violates our borders on a nightly basis and has no regard for legal entry. They aren’t from Europe. The last time I checked, Prague was quite a distance from San Ysidro.
