Zodiac update--The Zodiac’s slim chances to make the A-League playoffs got slimmer Friday when Orange County lost, 2-0, to first-place Seattle. The Zodiac must win its final five games and hope that either the California Jaguars or the 86ers lose their remaining games. The Jaguars, 86ers and Colorado Foxes are tied for second with 40 points, which is the maximum the Zodiac could finish the season with. Colorado holds the tiebreaker advantage with Orange County.

86er update--Vancouver has won three in a row but finds itself a bit depleted by injuries and the fact that three 86er players, including standout goalkeeper Paul Dolan, have been called away to the Canadian national team. The 86ers have four games remaining, two of them with the Zodiac.
