Investment Group Buys 5.2% Stake in 3D Systems

An investment group reportedly has purchased a 5.2% stake in 3D Systems Corp., based in Valencia.
According to a filing Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Clark Estates Inc. has purchased about 594,000 shares of the company’s stock.
3D Systems is a maker of prototype modeling systems that are designed using laser and computer-aided design techniques.
3D Systems stock has been trading recently for about $7.50 a share.
