Raising Minimum Wage Bad for All
The public is all for raising the minimum wage, but I’m not. The public wants it to go up because it will help people to make more money to survive.
I think the public needs to understand that if the rate of pay goes up so does everything else that we have to buy. For example, if I’m a small-business owner and I need to hire a kid who doesn’t do anything for $5 an hour then my prices that I charge my customers need to go up to make enough money to pay for that salary. Now if I paid him $3.50 an hour, then my prices could go down.
That is why I think people need to stop crying to their bosses about their rate of pay, because the more they make the higher all the prices are going to get. The higher the prices get, the more people that are going to be unable to pay those prices, and you’re going to get higher crime, and higher poverty. All this will bring down the country, if not the world.
