Boy, 13, Kills Self in Game of Russian Roulette

A 13-year-old boy killed himself at his parents house in Watts Monday evening while playing Russian roulette, police said.

The boy, whose name was withheld by police, got a revolver from a bedroom at the house located in the 800 block of East 111th Place and loaded it with one round, investigators said. With his cousin looking on, he placed the gun to his head and pulled the trigger, police said. The gun did not discharge. He then pulled the trigger again and the gun went off, killing him instantly. The cousin, the only other person in the house, notified police, who said they have not determined why the boy was suicidal.
