A 7-year-old boy drowned in the swimming pool of a vacant house, police said Tuesday.
Wesley Immanuel Crowe apparently climbed over the fence of the Hobson Court house near his home to retrieve his ball Monday, Pomona police said. The mother “jumped over the fence after she saw him at the bottom of the deep end,” pulled her son from the pool and started CPR, police said. The boy was pronounced dead at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center.
The fence surrounding the pool complies with city safety codes, police said.
