Eight local companies with “family friendly” policies were honored this month by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
Receiving commendations for programs that help employees balance work and family obligations were: Dutton’s Brentwood Books; the law office of Susan Wasserman; the L.A. Metropolitan Transit Authority; McDermott Plumbing and Pumping, Malibu; Pacesetter Inc., Sylmar; the Pasadena Historical Museum; the accounting firm of Deloitte and Touche; and the Signal, of Signal Hill.
The awards were announced at the county’s Family Friendly Employer Recognition reception.
