Licona to Fight Fuentes in Irvine

IRVINE — Marriott boxing promoter Roy Englebrecht announced Wednesday that featherweight Marcos Licona of Westminster will put his 10-0 record on the line against Azusa’s Ricardo Fuentes in the 10-round main event of the June 27 card. Fuentes won his first 13 fights before being knocked out in April by Pacoima’s Sergio Macias in the fourth round of the main event.
Also on the card will be Long Beach super welterweight Raul Franco (5-0) and Huntington Beach light heavyweight Julio Gonzales (3-0).
