Colleges / Campus scene

Orange Coast College’s Psi Beta Honor Society for psychology majors has donated 173 baseball caps to Children’s Hospital of Orange County for patients undergoing chemotherapy.

The caps were collected on campus by the academic fraternity’s 25 members and two advisors.

Members of the organization also donated 130 teddy bears to the hospital during the holidays.

“National Psi Beta encouraged chapters . . . to give to children who were sick or in need,” said Christina Bednarski, psychology instructor. “Our Christmas project proved so successful that our students decided to put together a second campaign this spring and collect caps.”
