Dental Floss Saves Shark Attack Victim

A quick-thinking nurse used dental floss to save her boyfriend from bleeding to death after a shark attack in the Bahamas. A shark shredded Wilbur Wood’s right arm while he was spearfishing in the Bahama. Wood, 54, was in serious but stable condition at a hospital in Miami. His girlfriend, Gail Brooks, was credited with saving his life by using dental floss to tie off an artery in his arm.
