So you think you know how to fix that copper curtain on the Civic Arts Plaza? Thousand Oaks has a job for you.
Residents are urged to apply for a seat on the Thousand Oaks Arts Commission, a voluntary, 11-member board that advises the City Council on cultural issues, such as the copper curtain.
Commissioners shepherd numerous arts events, including an annual arts and photography show as well as an arts recognition awards ceremony.
Applicants should have an interest or expertise in visual arts, performing arts, literature, architecture or related fields.
The city clerk’s office in the Civic Arts Plaza is accepting the applications. It is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. For information, call the office at 449-2151.
