The Dolphin House, bottom left, is a cyber cafe in Venice with a mission: to fund Dream a Dolphin (or DAD), a nonprofit group that provides children with special needs a chance to swim with dolphins in a therapeutic program. On weekends, free storybook readings draw families eager to hear celebrities read, left. Singer Toni Childs, founder of Dolphin House and DAD, below, sings of the ocean with Claire Zutaut. Learning is on the menu too: Ice Capades soloist and actress Lynn Holly Johnson teaches youngsters about disabilities awareness through Dixon, a pigeon who can’t fly.
