Opportunities for Volunteering

The Craft & Folk Art Museum of Los Angeles, 5814 Wilshire Blvd., needs volunteers to assist on weekends or weekdays on a regular basis. Volunteers help with admissions and memberships, and act as docents and gallery guides. They also work in the museum shop and help with administrative duties. Prior museum experience is helpful but not necessary. Free parking is located behind the museum.

Doingsomething, a national volunteering network, helps to connect busy people to volunteering opportunities that usually last only four hours and are held on the weekends. The group works with a wide variety of volunteer agencies. Projects help the homeless, the environment, the elderly, animals, disabled children and other causes.
