“The Artist in the Community, the Community in the Artist,” a panel discussion by gallery directors, arts administrators and educators from Santa Ana, will be held June 1 at 4 p.m. in Santa Ana at the Ruben Martinez Bookstore and Gallery, 200 N. Main St., Suite A.
The program, co-sponsored by the bookstore and the Maria Elias Center for the Arts, will feature Eric Smissen, co-director of the Caged Chameleon gallery; Seth Wilder, director of Koos Arts Cafe; Magdalena O’Campo of Cesar Chavez High School; Clayton Spada, president of the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art; and Gerri Schusterman, owner of Art Angles.
