Tides Hotel Rides Wave of Miami Chic

The restored, 1936-vintage Tides, the tallest Art Deco hotel on Ocean Drive in Miami’s trendy South Beach, is to open Monday.The hotel is the latest venture of music magnate Chris Blackwell and his Island Outpost Inc., which has six other South Beach hotels.
The 10-story Tides has 45 rooms and suites, three restaurants, a pool and an entertainment lounge. Rates are $168.75 to $1,237.50 per night per room, including tax. Reservations: (800) OUTPOST.
