Venice needs a little help getting beautiful.
The Lincoln Corridor Community Watch, an association of business owners who have shops along Lincoln Boulevard, is organizing a tree-planting drive May 31 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and needs more volunteers, organizer Yolanda Becerra Jones said.
The tree planting follows a corridor clean-up project that the group organized two months ago, Jones said.
And if beautifying the corridor isn’t incentive enough to come out and volunteer, Jones offered many more:
“It’s going to be a celebration,” she said. “There will be refreshments. There will be banners. There will be T-shirts.”
