The Minnesota House of Representatives passed a compromise bill that would require tobacco companies to disclose some ingredients and to put clamps on underage smoking. A Massachusetts law that requires disclosure of all cigarette ingredients is being appealed by the tobacco companies. . . . Los Angeles-based Koo Koo Roo Inc. reported a first-quarter net loss of $3.50 million, or 22 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $1.80 million, or 12 cents, a year ago. . . . US West Media Group and AirTouch Communications Inc. reached a definitive agreement in the previously announced $5-billion merger of US West’s cellular telephone operations with AirTouch. As part of the agreement, US West will transfer its domestic directory business from US West Media Group to US West Communications Group. The two groups are separately traded entities that make up US West.
