Five County Girls to Play Soccer at LMU

Five Orange County girls’ soccer players have signed letters of intent to play for Loyola Marymount in the fall. Laguna Hills’ Stacy Roberts and Esperanza’s Heather Nelson, both all-Southern Section second-team selections, join the Lions as defenders.
Other players heading to Loyola are Esperanza goalkeeper Tracy Sharp, an all-Southern Section first-team selection, Mater Dei’s Kimberly Buccola and Cypress’ Michelle Woiemberghe.

Brandon Hearvy, a 6-foot-6 forward from Irvine Valley College, has signed a letter of intent with Idaho State, Irvine Valley Coach Jerry Hernandez said.
Hearvy, who played at Magnolia High School, averaged 15 points and eight rebounds last season and was named All-Orange Empire League. He averaged 11 points and seven rebounds as a freshman.

Shawna Draper of Capistrano Valley has signed to play soccer at Brown, her mother, Marlene, said.
Draper was a four-year starter and goalkeeper for the Cougars. She had 12 shutouts last season and was a first-team All-South Coast League selection.
