Estranged Husband Sought in Kidnapping

FULLERTON — Police were searching Wednesday for a Fullerton woman who reportedly was dragged from her home and kidnapped by her estranged husband.
Witnesses said Margaret Barnhouse, 43, was abducted from her home in the 1200 block of W. Oak Avenue about 4 p.m., according to Fullerton police spokesman Sgt. Glenn Deveny.
Witnesses identified the kidnapper as Lester Barnhouse, 43, of Anaheim, Deveny said.
Margaret Barnhouse is described as white, 5-feet-2, 125 pounds, with strawberry blond hair and green eyes. She was last seen wearing a sleeveless red top and white shorts.
Lester Barnhouse is described as white, 6 feet, 170 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with blue stripes and gray slacks.
He was driving a red 1984 Dodge Aries 600 convertible with the license plate 1KVA804, according to witnesses. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of either of the two is asked to call Fullerton police at (714) 738-6817.
