Donna Harris
Orange Coast, Sophomore
Track and Field
Harris, from Newport Harbor High, gained attention with the last name Mills in the fall when she won the Orange Empire cross-country title. Married in November, she returned to running this spring. Saturday, Harris qualified for three events at the state meet with her performance at the Southern California finals. She was fourth in the 1,500 and the 3,000 meters and third in the 5,000.
Softball
Melissa Cruz
* Rancho Santiago, sophomore. She was nine for 15 and stole three bases as Rancho Santiago finished second in regional softball play.
