Department Offering Tour of 911 Call Center

The city’s communications department is offering a free tour May 21 of its upgraded 911 emergency call center.
Visitors who attend the open house will learn about center operations, staffing and how the telephone and radio network keeps residents connected with emergency services, said Dale Kinney, senior communications supervisor for the city.
The open house is 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Communications Department, 79 Fair Drive, behind City Hall.
