TONIGHT’S GAME ANGELS’ ALLEN WATSON (1-3, 5.45 ERA) vs. WHITE SOX’S DANNY DARWIN (0-2, 2.54 ERA)
* UPDATE: There were rumblings in Chicago last week that White Sox Manager Terry Bevington was about to be fired, but General Manager Ron Schueler gave him a vote of confidence Saturday. “He’s my manager. I will not replace Terry Bevington,” Schueler said. “I don’t think there’s a need to.” Winning four in a row and six of seven certainly helped Bevington’s job security. Watson, the Angel left-hander, has made two quality starts in a row, shutting out the White Sox for seven innings May 3 and limiting Baltimore to three runs on seven hits in seven innings Wednesday.
* Tuesday, 7 p.m.--Mark Langston (1-2, 4.63) vs. James Baldwin (1-4, 4.14).
