* Calabasas High swimmer Tammi Hussain has set school records in seven events in her career.
* Sophomore Jonathan Lopez set the career record for aces at Valley Alternative with 117, breaking James Hemenover’s record of 115 from 1992-94.
* Nada Kawar of UCLA, a 1993 graduate of Crescenta Valley High, added more than two feet to her best in the shotput last Sunday when she won the California-Nevada championships at Cal State Northridge with a 57-foot 3/4-inch effort.
Kawar ranks fourth on the all-time Bruin list behind Valeyta Althouse (61-10 1/4 in 1995), Dawn Dumble (58-10 3/4 in ‘95) and Seilala Sua (57-3 1/2 this season).
