Kindergartners’ Key

Re “Debate Grows Over Best Age for Starting Kindergarten,” April 23:

My baby brother started kindergarten at age 5, and he is doing very well now. My parents did not push him to attend preschool at age 4. Instead, we decided to send him to kindergarten at age 5. He was physically and intellectually ready relative to his classmates, making him comfortable, confident, able to participate, answer questions and get good grades.

The most important thing for starting kindergartners is to build a positive experience which will lead them to think positively in the upper grades.
