Caged Confusion

Funny, we don’t remember Nicolas Cage having such beady eyes. And since when does John Malkovich have such smooth-cheeked, preppy looks? Well, the poster for “Con Air” does feature the three macho mugs of stars Malkovich, Cage and John Cusack--but somehow the names above them don’t quite match up. Thank Hollywood wisdom. Contractually, Cage, the star, has his name run first--on the left--but his photo also gets the most prominent spot: the center. At least it’s not quite as confusing as the poster for 1992’s “A Few Good Men,” which juggled the names and faces of Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson and Demi Moore. Once again in Hollywood, common sense gets bottom billing.
