Alemany Prevails in Walkover, 6-1

Kim Diener pitched a two-hitter and extended her streak to nine games without giving up a walk to help Alemany High defeat Harvard-Westlake, 6-1, in a Mission League softball game Friday at Valley College.
Diener (19-3), a junior right-hander, struck out nine and the first-place Indians (19-3) improved to 8-0 in league play.
Notre Dame 3, Flintridge Sacred Heart 0--Patricia Wetzel (8-9) pitched a two-hitter and struck out four for the Knights (9-11, 3-5) in a Mission League game at Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Park.
Dos Pueblos 5, Buena 4--Amber Rodarte had a two-run single to highlight a four-run first inning, but the Bulldogs (14-8-1, 8-4) gave up five runs in the sixth in a Channel League loss at Buena.
Hueneme 8, Santa Barbara 7--Yvette Carmona had three hits, including a run-scoring single in the bottom of the 11th inning to lift the Vikings (6-11, 4-8) in a Channel League game at Hueneme.
The Vikings rallied to tie the score, 7-7, with two out in the ninth. Yvette Carmona singled, stole second and scored on Yajaida Batista’s single.
In the 11th, Jerusha Hiner walked, reached third on Delaina Talili’s double and scored the winning run on Carmona’s single to left field.
San Marcos 2, Ventura 1--The Cougars (5-17, 3-9) scored their only run when Camille Minkel was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the third inning of a Channel League game at Ventura.
Moorpark 11, Calabasas 1--Meghan Carlson had a three-run double and junior Erin Heinbechner (12-5) pitched a one-hitter, striking out seven and walking three, for the Musketeers (14-8, 10-3) in a Frontier League game at Moorpark.
Santa Paula 4, Malibu 2--Hortencia Ruiz had a two-run double in the first inning for the Cardinals (10-12, 7-6) in a Frontier League game.
Santa Clara 10, Nordhoff 1--The Saints scored seven unearned runs on seven errors in a Frontier League game at Santa Clara.
Jenna Hunter led off the game with a home run for Nordhoff(3-14, 1-12).
L.A. Lutheran 8, Viewpoint 4--Melissa Kirk threw a three-hitter, had two hits and drove in three runs for the Lions (13-4, 8-0) in a Heritage League game at L.A. Lutheran.
