Ice Dogs Reach Western Finals

SALT LAKE CITY — Nicholas Vachon scored at the 8:09 mark of overtime against his former team and the Long Beach Ice Dogs defeated the Utah Grizzlies, 3-2, Friday night to sweep their International Hockey League semifinal playoff series in four games.
The Ice Dogs advance to the Western Conference finals against the winner of the Houston-San Antonio series. Houston leads, 3-1.
