Parents are invited to attend a free series of workshops on child-rearing that began earlier this month.
The workshops are offered in English and Spanish and feature such topics as how to increase family communication, how to identify the reasons for a child’s bad behavior and how to raise children with self-confidence.
In addition, support groups made up of other parents are available to work with the mothers, fathers and guardians.
The sessions in Spanish are presented at Imperial Middle School, 1450 S. Schoolwood Drive, La Habra, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays. English workshops are offered at the La Habra Community Center, 101 W. La Habra Blvd. from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays.
