Gunman Sought in Follow-Home Holdup

Simi Valley police investigators are looking for a man who robbed a woman after she returned home from a shopping trip.
Lynn Welter, 51, was unloading her car Tuesday about 4:45 p.m. in front of her home in the Wood Ranch neighborhood of Simi Valley when she was approached by a man with a handgun, Sgt. Bob Gardner said.
The man demanded that Welter hand over her jewelry, Gardner said. He fled on foot after the robbery.
No estimate was given for the value of the jewelry.
Authorities believe the robber followed the woman after seeing her shopping in the San Fernando Valley.
