Recchia helped the Warriors (11-10, 5-6) move from a game out of the basement to playoff contention in the Sea View League after posting two victories over first-place Santa Margarita, then ranked fourth in Orange County. Recchia, who is hitting .411 with 20 RBIs, had six hits and four RBIs last week.

* Esperanza, senior. Had 30 kills for No. 1 Esperanza in a victory over No. 3 Huntington Beach and 20 kills in a victory over Edison.

* Woodbridge, sophomore. Improved to 46-2 in singles, helping the Warriors, top ranked in the county, clinch the Sea View League title.

* University, freshman. Shot three-under par over 27 holes to help top-ranked Trojans remain unbeaten and clinch the league title.
