The WISE Senior Services Long-Term Care Ombudsman program needs volunteers to be advocates and investigate complaints made by nursing home residents. Volunteers get 36 hours of classroom training to become state-certified ombudsmen. Excellent communication skills, objectivity and advocacy skills are required. The Sycamores in Pasadena needs caring individuals, married or single, to provide long-term or backup foster care for infants, toddlers, young children and adolescents. Qualified adults will receive training, certification and financial support to aid in the children’s care.
