Regarding the editorial on the death of Pal the pug and the reward proposal by the L.A. City Council (April 25), I heartily concur that existing and any additional funds should come from private donations. What we can do now is care for our own pets and visit our overburdened animal services shelters to adopt pets or volunteer our very much needed and appreciated services.
