Valerie Alter tripled in Sandra Aken in the fourth inning and Anna Russell pitched a two-hitter to lead Harvard-Westlake High over Louisville, 1-0, in a Mission League softball game Friday at Valley College.
Russell (15-3) has figured in all but one decision for the Wolverines (16-3, 3-3 in league play).
Stefanie Urman (10-8) allowed four hits for the Royals (10-8, 2-4).
Chaminade 4, Flintridge Sacred Heart 0--Sophomore Maureen LeCocq (12-5) pitched her third no-hitter and ninth shutout of the season in a Mission League game at Chaminade (12-6, 5-1).
LeCocq struck out 10 and walked one and was two for three with a run batted in.
Alemany 17, Notre Dame 1--Kim Diener had three hits and four RBIs for the Indians (17-3, 6-0), The Times’ seventh-ranked team in the region, in a Mission League game at the Sylmar Independent Baseball League Park.
Elena Lira had four hits and two RBIs for Alemany. Indian Coach Dudley Rooney goes after his 300th career victory Wednesday at Chaminade.
Calabasas 9, Nordhoff 0--Christie Culver (3-1) pitched a two-hitter and struck out 11 and Keyna Ball was three for four, including a triple, for the Coyotes (9-8, 8-3) in a Frontier League game at Calabasas.
Moorpark 5, Malibu 0--Erin Heinbechner (9-4) recorded her third shutout with a two-hitter and Tricia Morgan drove in two runs for the Musketeers (11-7, 9-2) in a Frontier League game at Moorpark.
Paraclete 11, Rosamond 1--Vicki McKay pitched a two-hitter and struck out six and had three hits and two RBIs for the eighth-ranked Spirits (19-3, 6-0) in a High Desert League game at Paraclete called after 4 1/2 innings.
Providence 10, Avalon 1--Missy Mirkovich had three hits, including a triple, two RBIs and two stolen bases for the Pioneers (13-2, 4-1) in a Liberty League game at Avalon.
