Jewelry Stolen in Burglary at Macy’s

Authorities are investigating a burglary early Friday at the Macy’s department store in Ventura during which an unknown amount of jewelry was taken.
Police said a burglar or burglars smashed through a glass display window and entered the store at 477 S. Mills Road about 3:30 a.m.
Several display cases were forced open and, according to an employee, gold bracelets, chains and necklaces, some inlaid with precious and semiprecious stones, were taken.
Officers responding to an alarm arrived at the store within two minutes.
