Orange Boys’ Basketball Coach Quits

Richard Bossenmeyer has resigned as boys’ basketball coach at Orange, Athletic Director Dave Zirkle said Thursday.

Bossenmeyer was the Panthers’ coach seven of the past eight seasons, taking a sabbatical during the 1994-95 season. He is seeking a position on the college level, Zirkle said.

Bossenmeyer played on and coached Orange teams that won Century League titles. He was a guard on the 1984 championship team and then coached the Panthers to their next title, winning the co-championship in 1994. He was 90-59 in his seven seasons as coach.
