Runner Manhart Chooses Fullerton

Jason Manhart, a track athlete from Trabuco Hills High School, has signed a letter of intent with Cal State Fullerton, according to his father, Steve.

Manhart competes in the 1,500 and the 1,600 and has the top time in the county in the 1,500 (4:02.33) and the third-best time in the 1,600 (4:24.36).

Gabe Burt and Geoff Kint have signed letters of intent to play volleyball at UC Irvine, Anteater Coach Charlie Brande said.

Burt is a 6-foot-6 middle blocker from Mission Viejo High. Kint is a 6-3 setter from San Lorenzo Valley High.

Ben Gross, a 6-8 middle blocker from Moorpark, has orally committed to play at Irvine, his mother, Roxanne Gross, said Thursday.
