Pedophiles

I adamantly disagree with a statement made by former FBI agent Bob Barry, director of USC’s Center for the Administration of Justice (April 22). He stated that the killer of Anthony Martinez was “not a pedophile because they love kids. You’re talking about a predator who goes after children because they are very weak adversaries.”

All pedophiles are predators. They all hurt children for their own pleasure. They only pretend to “love” children. As a survivor of sexual abuse, I know personally of the horror these monsters create for their victims and any attempt to classify them by their outward appearance or mannerisms only serves to minimize the tremendous pain they inflict on our children.
