Re “Why Fight a Sin Tax to Aid Child Health?” (Commentary, April 22), to increase cigarette taxes for funding health care: If cigarette smoking costs the government so much in health care, why does it continue to subsidize tobacco growers? This is orthodox government; first cause the problem and then benefit by taxing the victims.
