Van Nuys 11, Grant 8--Veronica Ramos hit a three-run home run to break an 8-8 tie in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Wolves (10-8, 5-4) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Van Nuys.
It was Ramos’ fourth home run of the season. Regina Perez (10-8) earned the victory and had two hits and Jennifer Ramos also had two hits for the Wolves.
Sarah Rothman had three hits for Grant (1-13, 0-9), including a fourth-inning grand slam that tied the score, 7-7.
Sylmar 3, Reseda 0--Diana Valle hit a three-run double in the fourth inning for the Spartans (8-9, 7-2) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Sylmar.
North Hollywood 7, Canoga Park 5--Nydia Mejia pitched a four-hitter and Ericka Gomez had three hits and three RBIs for the Huskies (9-9, 5-4) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game at North Hollywood.
Monroe 8, Poly 0--Cori Jordhahl had a three-run home run for the Vikings (11-7, 8-1) in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Poly.
