House Passes Bill Easing Adoption

From Times Staff and Wire Reports

In a strong display of support for the plight of kids in foster care, the House passed a bill that aims to shorten the time they wait for permanent homes. Dave Camp (R-Mich.), would no longer require states to make every “reasonable effort” to reunite children with their families in cases including abandonment, torture or abuse.
