SEAL BEACH — Boeing Co. said it received a contract initially worth $8 million from the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization to define an integrated National Missile Defense system that would be designed, developed and tested over a three-year period.
Boeing said the contract may lead to selection of its Seal Beach operation as the lead systems integrator for the National Missile Defense system. Boeing will compete against other proposals for the execution phase that is to begin next March or April.
